The Montreux Jazz Festival 2005 program is particularly tempting and proves every year it's prestige and fame. For this 39th edition, the festival really spoils us by proposing on a dish the kings of funk and soul. The list of guests is way too long but I must insist on some unmissable ''events''.

This grand ''Wattsax Revue'' evening will be given on Saturday July 2nd at the Auditorium Stravinski starting at 8.30 p.m. where it will be possible to attend the unique concert in Switzerland of the pianist also called the 5th Beatle (on their album ''Let It Be'') a.k.a. Billy Preston; as well as the instrumental band that blew the charts by covering an uncountable number of standards in the sixties : Booker T & the MG's! and at last, the lewd ogre, melodical goldsmith and composer of the Shaft soundtrack...Isaac Hayes!
Add as well to your agenda the July 4 th evening, 8.30 p.m. at the Auditorium Stravinski where the god of blues B.B. King best known for his feeling and his eternal guitar game that will set the room on fire with Salomon Burke, the prince of sixties soul who will present us his new album ''Make Do With What You Got''. Let's not forget Chic with Nile Rodgers, the Disco-Funk legend that will heat up the summer night in the charming company of the jazz and soul diva Roberta Flack !
No need to give a longer presentation of these magical and prestigious artists whose stunning carreers were built during 40 years for some.
